From Corporate Burnout to Cosmic Mastery: A Conversation with Manifestation Mentor Sia-Lanu Estrella

Our world often values material success over spiritual fulfillment, and that’s where Sia-Lanu Estrella comes in. She has dedicated her life to empowering others to find the delicate balance between the two. As an author, sacred embodiment mentor, and host of the “Live Your Highest Expression” podcast, Sia-Lanu’s path has been anything but conventional.

After excelling in a senior corporate career as a professional writer and communications specialist, Sia-Lanu felt a profound soul call to move from her native Australia to Peru. This transformative journey led her to uncover cosmic mysteries and the sacred embodiment practices she now shares with the world. Through her best-selling “Rainbow Tablets” book series and immersive retreats, Sia-Lanu acts as a bridge, unifying the earthly and the divine to help people shatter the illusions holding them back and step into their fullest expression.

So much is focused on ‘dealing with’ situations in life. While this can be helpful, the big shifts come when you move into ‘creating’ your life. We had the honor of connecting with Sia-Lanu Estrella to discuss this, and she generously shared details of her own evolution, from corporate burnout to becoming a renowned manifestation expert. She offers practical guidance on redefining one’s relationship with abundance, empowering goal setting, and reigniting passion – all rooted in the indigenous wisdom she has integrated into her holistic approach to personal transformation.

Check out our interview with her below.

Sia-Lanu

Can you share more about your personal journey from corporate burnout to becoming a renowned manifestation expert and retreat leader? What was the catalyst for your transformation?

Sia-Lanu: I had always wanted to be a writer and do healing work. Yet, my parents insisted on a ‘real’ career. For 10 years, I excelled in senior roles in advertising agencies. It was grueling 70-hour weeks that were a guaranteed path to burnout. The water-view apartment and accolades were great. But deep down, I knew my life was meant to be more than this.

One day, I was offered a promotion to the highest level before General Manager. I left work and threw up in the gutter. My heart was heavy with a sense of doom. At that moment, I realized I couldn’t keep living someone else’s life.

So, I changed to senior marketing and communications roles on the client side. The people were amazing. I was writing a lot, which I loved. But my heart still ached for the life I never got to live.

Then came my second big catalyst. Years of heavy workloads and ignoring my true calling saw my health plummet into chronic illness. Western medicine and standard alternative therapies hadn’t helped. So, I went to Peru in search of a cure. I found it, in the unlikely form of an Amazonian frog poison. During that trip, I met Ausangate, the most sacred mountain in Cusco. My dear Peruvian friend showed me how to connect with the consciousness and wisdom of the mountain. It was unlike anything I had ever experienced.

A few months after I got home, Ausangate called me to bring a retreat group. I had been offering sound healing events and meditation courses for years but never a retreat. Yet the mountain was persistent.

It was incredible and my clients were over the moon. Then the mountain told me, “It’s time to move to Peru.” After three days of battling against ‘reason’, I decided to go all in. Within three months I had quit my job, sold my apartment and car, and found myself arriving in Peru with two bags and no idea what I was stepping into.

Now, I just released my third book, and it’s already a global success. I run retreats in sacred lands and amazing online programs, like my Mystery School. The days of burnout are long gone, and my life is more abundant and magical than I ever imagined possible.

In your book The Rainbow Tablets: Abundance and Sacred Co-Creation, you guide readers on how to move beyond manifesting to become “master creators” of their reality. Can you explain this concept in more detail?

Sia-Lanu: We’ve been taught to think of manifesting as ‘attraction’, which is a ‘pull’ energy. But that’s only a tiny piece of the picture.

You are a master creator of your experience. You are a transmission tower. So, you are not just ‘attracting’ abundance. You are abundance. You are abundance in motion. Because you are the living, breathing embodiment of sacred co-creation.

To harness the full power of manifesting, you move into ‘creation’ energy.

The basic manifestation tools of vision boards and visualisations are great. But they only work with what you can conceive as the outcome. As the master creator of your experience, you go beyond all limitations and tap into the highest possibilities. You’re no longer just manifesting what you can imagine. You are working in sacred co-creation with the Earth energies and ancestors, as well as the cosmic energies and your star teams. And you realise that you are not separate. Rather, you are connected with all that is. And you co-create in full alignment with your heart and soul’s highest frequency.

So, this book goes beyond all we knew about manifesting and shows you how to reclaim your true cosmic nature as a master creator.

It’s not uncommon for people to struggle with a lack mindset when it comes to money. What practical tools and mindset shifts do you recommend to help people redefine their relationship with abundance?

Sia-Lanu: Many people grew up being told things like, “Money doesn’t grow on trees” or “Money is the root of all evil.” There is so much negative social conditioning around money that can form deep layers of lack. But the truth is that money is neutral. It’s a vessel for energy exchange and creation. And the power lies in the intention that goes into that exchange.

When you realize this, you discover that you can generate greater abundance by encoding your interactions with money. As a transmission tower, you are both the magnet for abundance and the amplifier of abundance. When you actively embrace this, you become like an infinity symbol of ever-flowing, limitless abundance.

How can you do this? By being intentional with every interaction with money. When you are paying for something, celebrate it. For example, if you are investing in a course for yourself, really rejoice in that expansion you are gifting yourself. If you are buying groceries, celebrate the nourishment and health you are providing to your body.

Never pay something from a place of resentment or complaining about the price. This includes utility bills, taxes, unexpected car expenses, and so on. Money is a vessel of energy exchange. The frequency and intention you put into it is what you will receive back. So, even with those ‘less exciting’ costs, pay them with gratitude. If it’s tax, celebrate how much you earned and let the universe know you are open to receiving even more in the year ahead. If it’s utilities or a mortgage, celebrate the comfort of your home and open your energy field to your most expansive and uplifting lifestyle.

And do the same when you receive money. Celebrate it, offer gratitude, and let the universe know you are open to the greatest amplification of this abundance. It is also great to set the intention that abundance flows back to those who have just paid you.

When you interact with money in this way, you are literally encoding it with the frequency of ever-flowing, infinite abundance. You become the magnet and amplifier of abundance. Because you are vibrating at the frequency of abundance and gratitude, those old patterns of lack can no longer block you. And if at any point you slip back into negativity, simply realign so the abundance can flow again.

Traditional goal setting often focuses on external measures of success. How does your approach to empowering goal setting differ, and how does it help individuals connect with their passion and soul’s purpose?

Sia-Lanu: Our societal and educational structure pushes us to set long-term life goals when we are teenagers. As we get older, we continue to be encouraged to set goals around external outcomes. This could be a promotion or job title, buying a home in a particular suburb, having children by a certain age, and so on.

All of this can be great for motivation and focus. However, this traditional approach to goal setting has two major flaws. Firstly, there is no space for growth. You would hope at age 25, 35 and beyond that you’re not the same person you were as a teenager. As you grow and evolve, what you want from life evolves too.

Attachment to external measures leaves no space for your transformation. Secondly, goals based on specific external outcomes are made from the head. Yet, your highest expression of life will always come from the heart.

How can you shift to a way of setting goals that manifests your most joyful, abundant and fulfilling life?

Sia-Lanu: Start by embracing your intuition.

Embrace your intuition.

As women, we’re made to think we should suppress our femininity and adopt a more masculine approach if we want to get ahead in career and life. But feminine energy has a superpower. It is the vessel of intuition. Emotion and feeling are not ‘weaknesses’. When you harness this connection with your heart, it enhances your intuition. This means your higher knowing can guide you. It connects you to your greatest expression and passion for life. And that will always be far more aligned to your soul’s purpose than anything the head could determine.

For those who feel they don’t have intuition, you do. But you might have been taught to ignore it. Perhaps you were told to make the ‘smart’ decision or be ‘logical’. While your intuition and inner wisdom might get quieter, it never dies out. To reawaken your heart’s guidance, you need to reconnect with yourself.

The most important tool for this is a morning practice. Starting with the 10-minute Rainbow Pyramid Sovereignty Practice will bring you into your centre and help you manifest the highest outcomes for the day.

Reading books and listening to podcasts that light you up is another great way to strengthen your intuition. And follow the creative impulses of your heart. Maybe you will want to reconnect with a passion from childhood, such as dance, art or a musical instrument. Or, you might be drawn to something new. Allowing this expression to emerge will bring you back to your joy and help you release the limiting beliefs and social conditioning.

Stop playing by ‘the rules’.

As we embark on our careers, we are taught the ‘realistic’ timeframes for our path and told how competitive it is. These limiting beliefs can become embedded. And they can affect your goal setting without you even knowing it.

When I was 24 years old, I was asked in a job interview where I wanted to be in five years. I said I wanted to be an Account Director in a top advertising agency. The interviewer laughed. “I’m one of the best in the business and it took me seven years. You need to rethink your goals,” he said.

Guess what? I did it in one and a half years. How did I manifest my goal so quickly? By ignoring ‘the rules’.

An Account Manager role at the top agency opened up. You needed five years’ experience in television and radio. I had only worked in print and online. My heart dropped. But the next day I had an epiphany. If I didn’t apply, I definitely wouldn’t get the job. If I did apply, I ‘probably’ wouldn’t get the job, but that left space for something else. They hired me and 14 months later, I was promoted to Account Director.

So, when you’re setting goals, leave out timeframes. And be honest with yourself. Are you making the goal smaller because you feel it’s more ‘realistic’? Or are you moving beyond the limitations and going big? Because ‘the rules’ only apply to you if you buy into them.

Focus on the experience.

Traditional goal setting is all about the outcome. But attachment and expectation actually limit the possibilities. Instead, focus on the experience and feeling of that goal.

For example, if you want to rent a nice apartment or buy a home, don’t get too specific. The temptation can be to attach your goal to a certain area, a particular price range and a list of criteria.

Instead, focus on what you want to feel. What is the experience of living in this home? Maybe you want to be in an area where you can meet people, be active, connect with nature, or feel inspired. Perhaps the move is about making space for a partner or children.

When you focus on a set outcome, it narrows the playing field. But when you connect to the feeling and experience you desire, it aligns the energy so you can tap into the highest possibilities. The outcome will often be more incredible than you could have imagined.

Follow the breadcrumbs.

Setting a goal can be like choosing a destination. So, the mind wants to know the map. This can leave people stuck while they wait to understand the ‘steps’ they need to take.

Creating your most abundant and joyful life doesn’t work like that. Because you live into your highest expression. It’s an unfolding. The magic and opportunities can’t be planned. They come from being present. They come from taking baby steps and leaps of faith.

So, as you set goals and move towards them, listen to the impulses of your heart. Even if it doesn’t make logical sense. Your intuition is more powerful than you realise. This could result in a ‘chance’ meeting that changes your life. Or it might land you at the perfect opportunity through a seemingly miraculous sequence of events. The more you follow the breadcrumbs and trust the unfolding, the greater the momentum becomes.

Give yourself permission to evolve.

One of the biggest pitfalls of traditional goal setting is getting trapped in ‘the plan’. Most of us know at least one person who is really miserable in their life. Often, they realised at some point that they wanted something different. Perhaps they felt they were too far along and had invested too much time and money to change course. Yet, what is the cost of not being true to yourself? What is the cost on your health, happiness and mental wellbeing?

As you grow, sometimes what you want in life changes. Not only is that ok, it’s actually really healthy. And it brings a richer and more fulfilling experience. So, connect with your goals and let them light up your soul. But also give yourself permission to evolve.

Get curious about life.

The final thing to consider is, why do we even have goals? It’s so we can live our highest expression of life. The best way to set goals that light you up and really manifest, is to continue to grow within yourself. When we get too focused on the externals, we can lose touch with ourselves. So, keep cultivating your self-development. Approach life with curiosity. That way you’ll never get stuck in a box, and the possibilities will become more and more grand.

Burnout is a common challenge for high-achieving professional women. What actionable steps do you recommend for reigniting career passion and recovering from burnout?

Sia-Lanu: Burn out is a result of giving out too much energy and not topping up. Not only does it leave you feeling depleted, but it also blocks your ability to manifest the life you actually desire. Manifestation is like the infinity symbol – a continuous co-creation of giving and receiving. You become both the magnet for all that you desire, and the amplifier of that.

In this flow, your passion feeds into your career and the fulfilment you get out of it comes back to fill you up. When you’re burnt out, that flow is broken. So, it’s no wonder that the exhaustion of burn out is often accompanied by lack of motivation, disconnection and discontent. Before you can jump back to that passion for your career, you need to first reconnect with yourself.

Commit to a morning practice

You can’t be connected with your passion if you are disconnected within yourself. A morning practice centres your energy and helps you manifest the highest possibilities in the day ahead. It also clears external energies and strengthens your intuition. It can be as short as 10 minutes, like using this powerful Rainbow Pyramid Sovereignty Practice. Plus, you can add time in nature, yoga, journalling and anything else that puts you into the best space to start your day.

Raise your frequency

Just as negative thoughts deplete your energy, positive thoughts raise it. Take three minutes every morning and night to sit in gratitude. Don’t run through a big list. Instead, focus on three things for which you are grateful and spend a full minute with each one. Fill your heart and breathe the gratitude into your whole body. Also, each month write a page in your journal that expresses your highest vision for your life. After your daily gratitude practice, read this and really feel it as if it already exists. In this way, you are encoding the frequency into your body and energy field.

Rebuild your body

Burn out often brings bad habits. This could be poor eating, lack of sleep or even escape through alcohol or television. Your body is the vessel for manifestation. Commit to 7 to 8 hours of sleep each night, even if it means everything doesn’t get done. You will be more productive if you are rested. Be sure to do at least 15 minutes of exercise a day, so the body doesn’t become stagnant. Aim for 45 to 60 minutes at least three times a week. And gently switch to foods that nourish you.

Ignite your spirit

To reignite your career passion, you need to light up your soul. Get inspired. Find a podcast to listen to while you’re in transit or making dinner. Read books that expand your mind and open your heart. The Rainbow Tablets: Abundance and sacred co-creation is great for awakening your higher abilities of manifestation. Even if you only have time for 15 minutes of reading a day, it will keep you connected with the greater possibilities of life.

Tune in and follow through

As you recharge and reconnect with yourself, you will find that inspiration and clarity start to drop in. Create space to explore what is coming up for you. If you are feeling a renewed passion for certain aspects of your job, try to start your day with those. The uplifting energy will carry you through to the afternoon and make the ‘less exciting’ parts of your role feel easier. Or, explore if there is a way to evolve your role to have more of what you love and less of the other stuff.

Also, be honest about what led you to a state of burn out. Is your workload impossible to manage? If so, see if changes can be made or consider looking for a new role. Are you truly following your heart’s desires? If not, take steps towards it. This could be a series of smaller steps over a longer period, or you might be ready for a leap of faith. Either way, look at where you want to be, align to that frequency with a full “yes”, and start making it happen.

And celebrate the moments of magic. The more you align to the joy and wonder of creating your highest vision, the easier it will become to manifest.

You’ve led numerous global retreats for corporate professionals, celebrities, and influencers. What are the key factors people should consider when choosing the right retreat to align with their personal growth goals?

Sia-Lanu: Attending a wellness retreat is a powerful way to recharge and reignite your passion for life. Taking time to nourish yourself and step out of the box of day-to-day life can bring a huge leap in consciousness and clarity. But not all retreats are equal. It’s important to choose the right one for you. Here are some things to consider.

1. Location – often the biggest transformation comes when you answer a call to certain lands. When I run my retreats in Peru, people always say the land ‘called’ them. This is usually a feeling in the heart, like a deep longing, a sense of ‘coming home’ or a surge or excitement at the thought of visiting that place.

2. Facilitator – make sure you feel a connection with the facilitator and what they stand for. This might be through their social media, podcast, books and so forth. You want a facilitator who genuinely embodies what they are sharing, not someone who is just playing a part. And look into their level of experience and what people say about the retreats they offer.

3. Themes and activities – be clear about the themes and format of the retreat. Make sure that aligns with your intentions. If you have any physical conditions or phobias that could impact your ability to participate, be sure to talk that over with the facilitator before signing up.

4. Group – find out the maximum group size before joining. Up to 22 people is still pretty intimate and should give the opportunity for genuine connection. Over that size, especially once it is over 30 people, means there may not be the opportunity to connect with the facilitator. There is also more likelihood of ‘mixed’ energies and behaviours in a group that large. You might also want to ask about the age spread in the group to see if it is concentrated around a certain age, or more of a spread across different age groups.

5. Alcohol and drugs – any wellness retreat that allows alcohol and/or drugs is not a genuine retreat space. These substances are depressants and alter behaviour. Not only does it block the healing of those indulging, but their resulting behaviour and mindsets can create an unsafe space for other participants.

6. Integration – many retreats do not offer integration support. This is ok for something like a juice fast or yoga retreat. But for a deeper experience, there should be some sort of integration, such as a follow-up group online session.

All of these considerations will help you choose the most aligned retreat for you. But the most important factor is your intuition. After you’ve explored everything, come into meditation and let your heart guide you.

Is there a specific mantra, quote, or affirmation that you hold close to your heart?
