A little over 30 years ago, there were around 4 million businesses owned by women. As of 2018, there were over 11 million! That number is only continuing to rise as more females feel empowered and inspired to start their own businesses! And what better way to find inspirational female entrepreneurs and connect with them than through a tool we use every day: social media.

As a female entrepreneur, social media is a great tool that can be used to your advantage. It’s not only a way to “follow” people, but you can also connect and network with like-minded people – and learn from them. 

We’ve put together our picks for eight female entrepreneurs you should be following on social media right now. Not only do these ladies inspire us daily, but they also share a wealth of knowledge through their social accounts.

Marie Forleo

Marie Forleo is an entrepreneur, writer, and philanthropist. Her goal? To help you be the best version of yourself!

She has online courses you can take, MarieTV, a #1 New York Times Best Selling Book, and an email list. Marie not only offers business tips and advice on how to start a business and grow a business, but she also offers advice on how to reach your fullest potential – in both your professional and personal life.

Jenna Kutcher is a marketing entrepreneur who educates women on starting a business and “having fun while doing it.” 

Jenna hosts a popular podcast called Goal Digger that is basically a “live-workshop style business podcast for creative girl bosses.” Along with her podcast, Jenna also has a blog, online courses, and an email newsletter you can subscribe to.

Rachel Luna

Rachel Luna is an author, public speaker, and runs her own business RachelLuna.biz Through her site, blog, and social media, she helps women grow in confidence so they can “do that big thing” they were “made to do.” 

Rachel also has a weekly email newsletter, a best-selling book, and she offers workshops and digital courses. She also hosts a podcast, which focuses on building your business and becoming confident in yourself.

Ashlyn Carter is the entrepreneur behind Ashlyn Writes, which teaches copywriting for creatives. Her site offers plenty of FREE resources for creatives trying to build and/or grow a business. Rachel Hollis

The name Rachel Hollis may sound familiar. That’s because she’s the bestselling author for “Girl, Wash Your Face” and is also the creator of the RISE Podcast. On top of ALL of that, she also runs a motivational blog that explores everything from her meetings with celebs (like Oprah!!) to how to start a business. You can find it all on her blog for free!
