Why Are We Putting These Before Our Health

Mental Health

Our health is something we don’t hold closely enough to us. Some of you will be obsessed with it, and even that can get to an unhealthy level. But there are some common things that we all seem to be doing when it comes to our health, and that’s putting certain elements of our life before it. You truly won’t appreciate the damage you’re doing until something goes wrong as you get older. Your body might be built to withstand it now, but everything you’re doing at the minute is going to have a knock on effect as you get older, and it’s this knock on effect that we want to try and halt. So if you know you’re not the best at keeping up to date with your health, and you’re starting to feel a bit sluggish and on the low side, hopefully this article will inspire you to think about the areas of your life that might be causing that feeling. You can then act on it, and turn your life around before it’s too late!

Work Life

Work is such a big cause in the deterioration of health that we’re seeing at the minute. Our lives can’t function without the money that we’re bringing in through work, so it’s no surprise that so many of you work until your body and mind can take no more. Cynthia Telles is one of the people running campaigns to change healthcare in hands on jobs, because these are the ones that are most likely to cause harm to the body. A labouring job means that people are on their feet all day, heavy lifting, and often working the longest hours. Damage to the muscles and joints is so high, and mental health can also take a slip. If you’re not getting the amount of sleep you should each night, then are going to do a really long day doing a manual job, you’re just going to be drained all over.

A Bad Social Life

A bad social life is an easy habit to fall into. You don’t have to be in your teenage years to be out drinking all of the time, and eating junk food. It’s what so many of us are doing right now, and it really is damaging our bodies. So as much as possible, try and change your social life. Go out for a drink two nights each month, rather than going out every weekend. Have a takeaway once a week, rather than on the three days of the weekend. Subtle little changes like this can really make a difference to your health, and the weight drop will be so dramatic. Not only this, but you’ll also feel more alive. Get your fruits and vegetables and organic foods in your body, and we promise you won’t regret it!

Others Happiness

Putting other people’s happiness first could be your biggest downfall. This section is not encouraging you to ignore others happiness, but rather asking you to focus more of it on yourself. If you’re someone who is always so concerned with how others are feeling, focus that energy on you. Take some time to relax, process emotions, and find your happy place.
