How Many Days Until Halloween?
The countdown to Halloween is officially underway! How many days until Halloween?
It’s never too early to start planning and celebrating! For me personally, all of my Halloween decorations go up the day after Labor Day and they stay up through Day of the Day, November 2nd.

The Origin of Halloween
Are you familiar with the history of our favorite spooky day? Most everyone knows that we are celebrating a holiday with roots in Celtic and Druidic traditions but where did it all begin?
The holiday is an annual celebration observed every year on October 31st, primarily by children dressed up in costumes going door-to-door collecting treats. While trick or treating has become a standard in our culture, the origins of this holiday are actually quite dark and sinister
Halloween is derived from Samhain (SAH-win). Samhain was an ancient Gaelic festival celebrating the end of summer. The Celts believed that when it got close to the winter solstice, spirits could more easily make their way to the real world. So they celebrated it as a prime time for gatherings and merriment, but also to commemorate those who had passed on
As times became more difficult during the winter solstice in Europe, people would light bonfires hoping that their ancestors (and other spirits) were able to see them from beyond. Once a year we remember these traditions with a spooky festival that is often celebrated by attending scary movies, haunted houses, and pumpkin carving!
We hope all the goodies here help! Happy planning and preparation! Have a super fun holiday!
